Our cottages are inspired by the famous Jellybean Row Houses in St. John’s, painted bright colours, reminiscent of the wild berries you’ll find here on Fogo Island.

Each cottage features rustic, innovative architecture, is luxuriously furnished in a minimal style, with a fully-equipped kitchen, and features traditional accents like handmade quilts, art by local artist Adam Young, and locally-made woodworks. Escape by the Sea offers cottages off the main road, where you’ll be surrounded by the forest on one side, and a beach leading to the North Atlantic ocean on the other. Though private, with plenty of space between you and the next cottage, we’re within a short distance to shops and restaurants.

No matter which cottage you choose, it will be equipped with a flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, on-site washers and dryers, clotheslines, fire pits, beach access, and a barbeque/grill on a furnished patio overlooking the ocean.
