MEET KIM & KAYLA
Kim Holmes and Kayla Shea are joint owners of Escape by the Sea. Sisters-in-law and best friends, the two began Escape by the Sea as a nightly-cottage rental to fill a gap in the island’s tourism industry.
Kim and Kayla are both proud to take on this adventure as business partners/great friends & sister in-laws. They are real life yin and yang.
They believe Escape by the Sea Inc. is going to fill a gap in the tourism industry on Fogo Island. They are excited at the prospect of what this new business venture will bring to her life.
Kim, a mom of two, has a drive for business from years of owning and working in an art gallery/framing shop where she found her passion meeting and chatting with tourists from all over the world. Kayla, a nurse and mom to three, brings a zest for life and passion for creating excitement for each guest.
Kim and Kayla are confident Escape by the Sea will be the experience of a lifetime for their guests, a place built of beautiful memories, where every visitor can take a piece of their escape home.
